What is the Structure of a Northern Virginia Rotary Club?

Rotary International is an organization that works to achieve lasting change in communities around the world. It is divided into 166 countries, each with its own subdivisions known as zones. Zone 33, for example, includes North and South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and part of Tennessee. This zone structure is used to nominate the president and directors of Rotary International.

Rotary International also organizes an annual convention in several countries to motivate and inform Rotarians. Although in-person events are still limited due to the pandemic, the Rotary Club's schedule is still full of activities such as tours of water treatment plants and conversations with the director of the Northern Virginia Conservation Trust. Additionally, district conferences are held annually to promote fellowship and debate on club issues and Rotary International in general.
