How to Apply for Rotary Scholarships in Northern Virginia

Applying for a Rotary scholarship in Northern Virginia can be a rewarding experience. The process of applying for the Rotary Global Grant consists of several stages, starting at the local level and ending at Rotary International. The sponsoring club and district will work with you to complete the necessary forms on the Rotary International online application portal. My experience applying in Northern Virginia was very different from that of two friends who applied in Indiana and Washington.

The Rotary Foundation provides district and global grants to support scholarships that last from one to four years and may include a full degree program. Global Grant scholarships are funded with district designated funds (DDF), cash and directed donations, and proceeds from donations. The Foundation will provide an 80% contribution from the Global Fund to all DDF contributions. In Annapolis, Maryland, both the Annapolis Rotary Club and the Rotaract Club it sponsors offer scholarships to seniors who want to attend an accredited college or university. Nearly 80 years later, Rotary Global Grants continue to be a key way in which Rotary clubs around the world support the organization's global mission of establishing relationships that transcend national and cultural boundaries. If you are interested in applying for a Rotary scholarship in Northern Virginia, you should contact your local Rotary club or district office for more information.

They will be able to provide you with all the necessary information about the application process, eligibility requirements, and other important details.
