It also hosts a Corporate & Community Team Challenge, which is a walking race with teams of 5 to 7 runners or 10 walkers. The Arc of Northern Virginia Trust was created by a collective desire to raise their children at home and refusal to accept institutionalization as the only option. The mission of this trust is to create opportunities for people with IDD to live inclusive and meaningful lives not only in times of crisis but throughout their lives. This challenge brings together companies and the community for 4 decades and is the main corporate challenge walking race and the only team event in the area with teams of 5 to 7 runners or 10 walkers.
